What you'll accomplish

Configure ChatGPT once with your center's name, program type, ages served, state, and philosophy. From then on, every job posting, parent letter, or staff policy it writes is already tailored to your center without re-explaining it every time.

  • ChatGPT account, free at chatgpt.com (Custom Instructions work on the free plan)

Step 1: Open Custom Instructions

  1. Go to chatgpt.com and log in (create a free account if you don't have one)
  2. Click your profile icon in the top right
  3. Select Customize ChatGPT
  4. A panel opens with two text boxes

What you should see: Two large text fields: "What would you like ChatGPT to know about you?" and "How would you like ChatGPT to respond?"
