Use Canva's AI to Create an Enrollment Brochure

What This Does

Canva's free AI writing tool generates the text content for your enrollment brochure (program philosophy, curriculum overview, age group descriptions, and safety highlights), and Canva's templates make it look professionally designed without any graphic design skill.

Before You Start

• Free Canva account at canva.com (no credit card needed)
• Your practice name, logo (optional), and a few sentences about your program philosophy
• Time: 15 minutes

Steps

1. Search for childcare templates

1. Go to canva.com and log in
2. In the search bar, type "childcare brochure" or "preschool flyer" or "daycare enrollment"
3. Filter results by Free
4. Click a tri-fold brochure or half-page flyer that fits your needs
5. Click Customize this template

What you should see: A fully designed brochure opens in the Canva editor with placeholder text.

2. Use Magic Write to generate content

1. Click a text block you want to replace
2. In the left sidebar, click Apps → search and open Magic Write
3. Type what you need generated:

   • "Write a 3-sentence description of a play-based child care center serving infants through preschool"
   • "Write a list of 5 safety features parents want to know about at a child care center"
   • "Write a warm paragraph about the value of early childhood education for the enrollment section of a brochure"
4. Click Generate and copy the text into your design

3. Replace placeholder content with yours

1. Click each text block in the brochure
2. Paste your Magic Write content or type your own details
3. Update: center name, address, phone, hours, age groups served, enrollment contact

4. Add your logo and customize colors (optional)

1. Click Uploads in the left sidebar → upload your logo image file
2. Drag your logo to the designated spot in the template
3. To change colors to match your brand: click any colored element → click the color swatch → enter your hex code

5. Download for print or digital sharing

1. Click Share (top right) → Download
2. Choose PDF Print for physical brochures (print at Staples or FedEx)
3. Choose PNG or PDF Standard for emailing or posting on Facebook

Tips

• Search Canva for "childcare parent newsletter" to create a monthly family update template using the same process
• Save your branded version as a Canva template (File → Save as template) so you can update it each enrollment season without starting over
• The free Canva plan has plenty of templates. You don't need Canva Pro for basic print materials
